Who we are
Pet Pal is made by ConnexBiz. This policy explains what Pet Pal collects, why, and how to delete it. Contact: [email protected].
Without an account
If you use Pet Pal without signing in, your pets, reminders, health log, saved tips, photos and settings are stored only in your browser on this device. We do not receive them. You can remove them in Me › Remove data from this device.
With an account we collect
- Account details: your email address, name and profile photo (from Google sign-in or the email code sign-in).
- Pet data you add: pets (name, type, birthday or age, sex, breed, photo), reminders and health log entries such as vaccines, vet visits, weight and medicine. These are synced so they are backed up and available on your devices.
- Pro status and payment records (not your card details).
- If you allow notifications: a device token used only to send your reminders.
Ask Pet Pal and AI
When you ask Pet Pal a question, your question and the pet details needed to answer it (type, age, sex, breed and recent health records) are sent to a third-party AI model provider to write the answer. Do not include private information you do not want shared this way. Your chat history is kept in your account until you clear it or delete your account.
Community
Posts, comments, likes, follows, group chats and messages are shared with other Pet Pal members as the feature shows. Reports and blocks are kept so we can keep the community safe. Questions you ask Pet Pal inside a group chat, and its answers, are visible to that group.
Payments
Web payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, not to us; we receive the payment result and the period of Pro you bought. In-app purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
How we use your data
- to run Pet Pal: sync your data, send reminders, answer questions and show the community
- to keep accounts and the community safe, including handling reports
- to provide Pro and support
There are no ads on the Pet Pal website. We do not sell your personal data.
Who processes it
- ConnexBiz servers, which store your account and Pet Pal data
- Google (Firebase) for Google sign-in
- our email provider for sign-in codes
- an AI model provider for Ask Pet Pal answers
- Stripe for web payments, and Apple or Google for in-app purchases
They process data only to provide these services.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. In Me › Delete account you can delete your Pet Pal account: this removes your pets, reminders, health log, Ask Pet Pal history and usage, your groups, messages and memberships, hides your posts and comments, and removes Pet Pal notification tokens. Your shared ConnexBiz profile (email and name) stays for other ConnexBiz apps; email us to delete it too. Copies in server backups are overwritten over time.
Children and security
Pet Pal is not meant for children under 13. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), sign-in tokens held only in memory in the browser, and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us if you notice a problem.
